HVAC Contractors for Furnace Repair in San Diego, CA

A San Diego furnace repair visit should distinguish a serviceable fault from work that changes or replaces the installed equipment. Tell the company whether the thermostat calls for heat, whether the blower starts, and whether a fault code or unusual sound appears. Ask the technician to identify the cause in writing and explain how the completed repair will be tested. If the recommendation expands to furnace replacement, the City of San Diego's mechanical permit guidance lists furnace replacement among work handled through its mechanical permit process and explains when a simple or plan review path applies. Confirm the correct path for the property and put permit and inspection responsibility in the proposal. California regulates warm-air heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning work under the CSLB C-20 specialty classification. Check that the contractor license is active and includes C-20 for the proposed HVAC work before hiring. Review the CSLB C-20 classification and check the business through the California license lookup.
